Beirut’s “Lamba Labs” hackspace

I write a fortnightly app review on software that helps with business productivity for The National, and I have talked to hackers, coders, entrepreneurs, CEOs and investors, especially from across the Middle East, for many publications, including Vision and The National. Highlights have included talking to:

-Aschkan Abdul-Malek, the founder of a startup, Alemheath, bringing telemedicine to Kabul

-Bilal Ghalib, a consultant on hackerspaces working in Iraq on a project that combines electronics, data analysis and art

-Esra’a Al Shafei, the Bahraini founder of a music-streaming website and network of activist websites.
